In the screengrab of the newspaper, a photo of a crocodile has been used while the headline says &#8216;India&#8217;s PM cried&#8217;. Columnist <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DeShobhaa\/status\/1395956107097612289?s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shobhaa De<\/a> posted this image and said, &#8220;Savage!&#8221;. After all, he is more worried about his IMAGE than worrying about the people suffering from COVID!! To him crying at the right time is an art!!&#8221;. In the comparison posted below, one can easily spot the original newspaper\u00a0did not carry an image of a crocodile with the caption, &#8220;India&#8217;s PM cried&#8221;. The handle issued a clarification saying, &#8220;Again clarifying that this is *Satire. Don&#8217;t take it seriously. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SnVyFZobIS\">https:\/\/t.co\/SnVyFZobIS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Daily New York Times (@NewYokNewz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewYokNewz\/status\/1395941899593129989?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 22, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The reference to &#8216;crocodile tears&#8217; was made after the Indian newspaper The Telegraph <a href=\"https:\/\/epaper.telegraphindia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a> an article headlined &#8220;Don&#8217;t blame the poor crocs! They shed tear when they dine, not when they are sad&#8221; after the PM&#8217;s address.
