Alt News has also received several requests to verify the claim on its official WhatsApp helpline number (+91 76000 11160).<\/p>\n<h4>Morphed image<\/h4>\n<p>We performed an advanced search on Twitter using multiple keywords in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%97%E0%A4%B0%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%A4%E0%A4%BE+%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%B2+from%3Arahulgandhi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hindi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=from%3ARahulGandhi%20%20%22CAB%22%20OR%20%22CAA%22%20OR%20%22NRC%22&amp;src=typed_query&amp;f=live\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English<\/a> but were unable to find the tweet. Moreover, the alleged tweet featured on the viral screenshot carries many grammatical errors, apart from the absence of punctuation marks such as comma and full-stop.<\/p>\n<p>The two captions on top of the screenshot have been circulating for a few years now. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vishvasnews.com\/politics\/rahul-gandhi-fake-tweet-viral-name-of-cab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vishwas News<\/a> had debunked the fake tweet after it was posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/410258553165797\/photos\/%E0%A4%85%E0%A4%AD%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%85%E0%A4%AD%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%B0%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%B2-%E0%A4%97%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%A7%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%B5%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%AF%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A1-%E0%A4%B8%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%9F%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%B5%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%9F-%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%8F-%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%88%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%86%E0%A4%AA-%E0%A4%B8%E0%A4%AD%E0%A5%80-%E0%A4%97%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%AA-%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%87-%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%B0-%E0%A4%AF%E0%A4%B9-%E0%A4%9F%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%B5%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%9F-%E0%A4%9C%E0%A4%B0%E0%A5%82%E0%A4%B0-%E0%A4%AA\/523369475188037\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook user Vikram Singh Bhati<\/a> in 2019. The second caption matches the message Bhati had shared two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Alt News juxtaposed the viral screenshot with a genuine screenshot from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lx6H6-aCOyU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video posted by ABP news on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-97442 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/2021-07-02-15_38_13-Photos.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1484\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/2021-07-02-15_38_13-Photos.jpg 1484w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/2021-07-02-15_38_13-Photos-300x89.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/2021-07-02-15_38_13-Photos-1024x304.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/2021-07-02-15_38_13-Photos-768x228.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1484px) 100vw, 1484px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are a few dissimilarities that can be observed:<\/p>\n<p>1. The font in the viral image is completely different from the font used in the genuine graphic plate.<\/p>\n<p>2. The shade of red used in the logo as well as around the borders is darker in the viral image.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the viral image, there is no shadow behind the file image of Rahul Gandhi. In fact, there appears to be a blur (marked using a green arrow). This suggests that a genuine graphic could have been overlayed with the file image.<\/p>\n<p>Alt News spoke with Sanjay Bragta, Vice President News Gathering at ABP News Network (ANN), who denied that the viral graphic was broadcasted by the channel. Moreover, had Rahul Gandhi tweeted something of this nature, it would&#8217;ve been covered by the media since he is one of the leading opposition members.
