Misinformation targeting the protest began circulating once again after the Kisan Sansad. A photo of a man in a turban carrying a packet of condoms in his kurta pocket started gathering a lot of traction on social media. Twitter user <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/SCO90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@Bhagwa_sherni22<\/a> posted the photo and wrote, &#8220;Here\u2019s a farmer walking around carrying protest-related documents in his pocket. Fake farmers\u2019 movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98981 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/23fd4958-75af-496a-a7a2-32817a992293.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"453\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/23fd4958-75af-496a-a7a2-32817a992293.png 453w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/23fd4958-75af-496a-a7a2-32817a992293-300x293.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 453px) 100vw, 453px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twitter user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/humlogindia\/status\/1417128589258940416\">\u2018\u0939\u092e \u0932\u094b\u0917 We The People\u2019<\/a> also shared the image with the same claim. The handle has been known to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/hindi\/?s=%40humlogindia\">spread misinformation<\/a> on several occasions in the past.<\/p>\n<p><img circulated the image on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/search\/top?q=%E0%A4%9C%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%AC%20%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%82%20%E0%A4%86%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%A6%E0%A5%8B%E0%A4%B2%E0%A4%A8%20%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%87%20%E0%A4%A6%E0%A4%B8%E0%A5%8D%E0%A4%A4%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%B5%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%9C%20%E0%A4%B2%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%B0%20%E0%A4%98%E0%A5%82%E0%A4%AE%E0%A4%A4%E0%A4%BE%20%E0%A4%B9%E0%A5%81%E0%A4%86%20%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%BF%E0%A4%B8%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%A8\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kaumimarg.com\/news\/20825-son-of-former-akal-minister-sucha-singh-langah-arrested-with-heroin.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaumi Marg article<\/a> dated May 3, 2021. The individual in the photo is Sucha Singh Langah, a former Shiromani Akali Dal minister. He was a cabinet minister in the Punjab government.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-98941 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/word-image-25.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/word-image-25.jpeg 598w, https:\/\/www.altnews.in\/english-clone-2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2021\/07\/word-image-25-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A photo of Sucha Singh Langah, who was previously affiliated with the Shiromani Akali Dal, was edited to make it appear as though he was carrying a pack of condoms in his pocket. The image was circulated while targeting the ongoing farmers\u2019 protests.
