After a verbal altercation, slogans of “Hai Hai Panchal” can be heard, Panchal being a common surname in Gujarat. Following this, the angry mob manhandled him and force-fed him chillies despite his protestations regarding his eyes burning. At the end of it, they offered him water and threatened him that unless he works honestly in the future, the same treatment will be meted out to him again.
