At about 30 seconds into the video, the name of the politicians appears on the screen – ‘Faruk Ahmed Spokesperson VBA MH’.
A keyword search on YouTube led us to the same speech uploaded on October 11, 2019. It is titled as, “VBA candidate Faruk Ahmed Press Conference at Nanded [Maharashtra] on 10 Oct 2019”. Based on this, Alt News located the full version of viral clip posted on December 20, 2019. This speech was made by Farukh Ahmed in Grant Dharna Pradarshan at Nanded.
FICTITIOUS MLA ‘ANIL UPADHYAYA’
The name ‘Anil Upadhyaya’ regularly crops up on social media – sometimes as a BJP MLA, and at other times, a Congress MLA. However, there is no such MLA in the assemblies of any state, as per myneta. The screen-grab posted below show the search results for ‘Anil Upadhyay’.
