A video is going viral on social media apparently showing a young man vlogging from Bangladesh with shops behind him on fire. In the video, he says, “This is Bangladesh. It’s night time. They will kill us like Deepu ‘Chadar’. You can see for yourself what’s happening. Share this video as widely as possible so someone can save us. I can’t understand how everything went wrong suddenly.”

An X user named Bhakt Prahlad shared the video and wrote that Hindus in Bangladesh were pleading for help from the world as Bangladeshi Islamic jihadists had set their homes and shops on fire. (Archive link)

The Jaipur Dialogues, an X handle run by former IAS officer Sanjay Dixit which peddles communal and pro-BJP propaganda on a regular basis, posted the video and wrote that Bangladesh was slipping away. (Archive link)

Kashmiri Hindu (@BattaKashmiri), another handle that has been found spreading communal misinformation regularly, shared the video and wrote, “Bangladeshi Hindus deserve better, wake up Hindus.” (Archive link)

Fact Check

A few reverse image searches with some frames of the viral video led us to the same video posted on Instagram by a user named Kuldeep Meena on December 24, 2025. We checked Kuldeep Meena’s profile and found that he posted several similar videos on Instagram in which he falsely presents himself as being in Bangladesh.

In another video, Kuldeep Meena says, “Our houses have been burned in Bangladesh.” However, there are several posts on Kuldeep Meena’s account that indicate he is an Indian and a resident of Rajasthan. His Instagram account also lists him as “based in India.”

While sharing the above video on his Instagram channel, Meena has explicitly written that it was made with AI.

Meena has posted several videos on his Instagram account made with or edited using artificial intelligence. In one of the videos, he shows the Titanic sinking in the ocean behind him. He captioned the video with “Sora OpenAI,” which clearly indicates that these videos were edited using artificial intelligence.

When Alt News asked Meena about the viral video, he admitted that this one and many others on his timeline had been created with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Meena tried to justify the act of making such misleading videos and said he did not consider it a crime, since he was spreading the voice of the people of Bangladesh

To sum up, several users shared a video created by Indian citizen Kuldeep Meena with the help of artificial intelligence claiming it showed Hindus from Bangladesh pleading for help from the world.
