VIDEO FROM GUJARAT, NOT RAJASTHAN

Alt News reverse-searched a frame from the video clip on Google, and came across an article in Gujarati which was titled, ‘Thousands of scorpions emerge from a house in Anandpur village’. (translated). The article stated that thousands of scorpions were found from a home in the Anandpur village in Dhandhuka, Ahmedabad district in Gujarat, adding that a video of the same has gone viral on social media.

On further probing, we found a fact-check on the same by FactCrescendo, which had posted a video report of the incident, reported by the Gujarati news channel Sandesh. The news is recent, and pertains to August 2019. These scorpions had entered the house in the village due to heavy rain.

It may be noted that the video showing numerous scorpions inside a room is from Ahmedabad district in Gujarat and NOT from Rajasthan.
