Fact Check
Upon conducting a reverse image search with some key frames from the viral video, we discovered that the same video was uploaded on X by the user @premrajmeena71 on September 25, 2025. In his caption, he stated that the rally was being held in support of independent politician Naresh Meena from Rajasthan.

A relevant keyword search in Hindi led us to additional footage of the rally on Instagram. The march was held in support of Meena’s demand for justice for the children who died on July 25 in a roof collapse at the Piplodi Government School in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan. Seven students had lost their lives and 27 had been injured.

Meena had been on a 14-day hunger strike, demanding a compensation of 50 lakh rupees for the families of the victims. He began a silent fast to further support his demand. A few days later, his health deteriorated, and he was admitted to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
We were also able to geo-locate the viral video to the Gopalpura Bypass Road in Jaipur.

Additionally, we also found news reports on the said procession. NDTV, for example, confirmed that supporters of Meena had taken out the rally and demanded proper compensation for the bereaved families and punishment to the culprits.

To sum up, a video from September 2025 of a vigil in Jaipur is being falsely circulated as a protest march against the Narendra Modi–led government following the Opposition’s allegations of vote theft. In reality, the march was held in support of politician Naresh Meena, who was on a hunger strike demanding compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the families of the children who died in a roof collapse at a school in Piplodi.
