An image of a woman is being shared on social media with claims that she is the wife of late Pakistan Air Force squadron leader Usman Yousuf, who was killed in May during Operation Sindoor. The claims also say that she was arrested for being romantically involved with an Indian diplomat named Suman Singh. Singh, according to these posts, was to be deported to India within 72 hours.
On September 21, X user Hindutva Knight (@HPhobiaWatch), who often uses their platform to amplify hateful content and communal misinformation, posted the woman’s picture with the claims. At the time of writing this report, the post had received a million views and had been reposted over 1,900 times. (Archive)

Fact Check
To verify the claims, we ran a reverse image search on the woman’s image and came across a Facebook post from March 26, 2023, where a page named Neelam Muneer had shared this photo.
The page had shared several images of the same woman. The user’s bio said it was a fan page of Neelam Muneer.
Taking a cue from this, we ran a relevant keyword search and came across the verified Instagram page of Neelam Muneer Khan, a well-known actress in Pakistan.
On January 9, 2025, Muneer shared a wedding post with the caption: “Wherever we are destined to go – to the midst of the crowd or its at the end of the world, I will follow you!🤍♾️”. The man with her in the image was not squadron leader Usman Yousuf.
We found several other images shared by her on this page with her partner.
A fashion magazine, Grazia, reported that Muneer married an Emirati policeman named Muhammad Rashid in January.
We also tried to look for any reportage on an Indian diplomat named Suman Singh being deported to India but found no credible reports in any Indian or Pakistani news outlets. We also found no individual named Suman Singh in the official records of those deployed in the High Commission of India in Islamabad. It is likely that the claims about the diplomat were entirely fabricated.
Based on these findings, it was evident that social media users shared the image of Pakistani actress Neelam Muneer Khan with false claims that she was late Pakistan Air Force squadron leader Usman Yousouf’s wife, who was arrested over an affair with an Indian diplomat, Suman Singh. We also found no credible source of information regarding any Indian diplomat named Suman Singh being deported to India.
