A video is circulating on social media showing a man who appears to be a Hindu monk with a tilak on his forehead and a scarf bearing Mahakal’s name. Fact Check
We noticed that a building in the background of the viral video had the words “Bhawani Clinic” and “Heart and Diabetes Center” written on it. We searched Google Maps to gather more information and found that the building belongs to Maa Bhawani Clinic and Diabetes Center in Kuchaikot, Gopalganj . This location is less than 100 meters from the Kuchaikote police station.

We contacted Kuchaikote police station and spoke with an officer there. They told us that the viral claim was misleading. “This incident occurred a few days ago. When we checked the sadhu’s bag, we found nothing suspicious; it contained only flour and rice,” the officer said, adding that the SP Gopalganj’s office had already made a statement on the matter.
Gopalganj police, in a press release issued on December 15, 2025, refuted the claim made with the viral video, stating that the viral video was verified by the station house officer of Kuchaikote. The man was identified as a sadhu, and no incriminating material was recovered from his possession. The police, in a press release, denied the claim that the sadhu was a Bangladeshi, stating that his Aadhaar card was verified and he was a resident of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh.
