Fact Check

We ran a reverse image search on one of the keyframes of the viral clip that led us to several news reports related to the incident that date back to 2021.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, four persons were arrested for shouting anti-semitic abuses while driving through Jewish areas in London. The then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the act carried out by the convoy calling it “shameful racism”. In the report, it is mentioned that the incident took place on May 16, 2021.

On May 7, 2021, Israeli police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in response to the outrage of Palestinians who were fearing eviction from their homes. Soon world leaders and people across the world started reacting to the conflict and protests were carried out across the world.

Social media users are linking this 2021 incident to the current ongoing Israel-Hamas war. This convoy was taken out in the British capital two years back when the conflict between Israel and Palestine began to escalate with back-and-forth airstrikes unleashed by both Israel and Hamas and not related to the ongoing war.
