Facebook pages ‘U.P East Youth Congress‘ and ‘छौरै जाटव के’ (Chhaurai Jatav Ke) also posted this video and accompanying claim.

Fact-check

Alt News performed a keyword search which led us to a tweet posted by ‘UP Police Fact-Check’. It mentioned that this video was actually from Rajasthan’s Dausa district.

Upon further research, we found a Navbharat Times report dated October 2, 2021. It states that the incident occurred in Dausa, Rajasthan. The e-rickshaw overturned due to a pothole on the road near Agra Gate.

Dainik Bhaskar had also covered the video.

Uttar Pradesh Police debunked the viral claim on Facebook too.

To sum it up, a video of an e-rickshaw overturning due to a pothole in Dausa, Rajasthan was falsely shared as Uttar Pradesh.
