UP woman cop put Muslim harassers in their place? No, viral video is scripted

A video of two men having an altercation with a female constable has gone viral. In the clip, one of the men is seen wearing a skull cap. The constable demands that the two men behave appropriately while talking to her, and at one point refuses a bribe offered by them, throwing the money away. Towards the end of the video, she takes off her belt with the intention of beating the two men, who continue threatening her with consequences.

Users on social media who shared this clip claimed that the two men were Muslims who allegedly harassed Hindu women and were thus being punished by the Uttar Pradesh police. They praised the constable for her courage and for meting out the right treatment to the culprits without feeling intimidated.

X user @Warlock_mohit posted the viral video alleging that some Muslim men were allegedly harassing Hindu girls and had been dealt with by the constable in the video. At the time of writing this article, the post was viewed over 1 million times and reshared more than 9,000 times. (Archive)

Fact Check

To investigate the veracity of the viral claims, we broke the video down into keyframes. A reverse image search of one such keyframe led us to this YouTube video, uploaded by a channel named ‘Amit Dixit Social Message’, on September 21, 2025. The bit that is now viral appears around the 02:03-minute mark.

We also noticed that around the 00:03-minute timestamp, a disclaimer appears briefly. The Hindi disclaimer basically clarified that this was a fictional or staged video. It said “the names, characters, occupations, places, and events depicted in the video are fictitious, and that any resemblance to any real-life event or character is purely coincidental.”

On watching several other videos uploaded by the same channel, we noticed the same actors, but in different guises each time, indicating that the channel made such scripted scenario-based videos for entertainment purposes.

For instance, several of the actors who appear in the viral clip also feature in other videos. A comparison slide is provided below:

The link to the creator’s Facebook profile has been attached in the YouTube description of the channel. We noticed several other videos, on similar themes, and featuring the same actors, in the Facebook page as well.

Earlier this year, Alt News has previously debunked misleading claims surrounding a video in which the same actors appeared in a different scenario. The person wearing the skullcap in the now-viral video was part of the previous one too. We could also conclude that both videos were shot in the same room.

Thus, a clipped, scripted video of Muslim men being punished by a female constable for harassing Hindu women is being shared as an actual incident of UP police putting harassers in their place. This video is fictitious and made for “entertaiment” purposes and the same actors have appeared in viral videos of similar nature nefore that Alt News has debunked.
