A video a wide road chock-a-block with hundreds of people and several cars is going viral on social media with the claim that it shows a protest in Patna against the Election Commission and the BJP over allegations of vote theft in the recently concluded Bihar polls. 

An X user named Arun Kumar posted a viral video claiming that people in Bihar were protesting against the BJP after the Bihar election results. (Archive link)

A user named Nazneen Akhtar posted the video claiming that people in Patna were protesting against ‘vote theft’. (Archive link)

A user named Karishma Aziz also shared this video, claiming it was from Bihar. Similarly, @tadarahim_offic shared the video, writing that there were post-election protests against the Election Commission and the BJP over alleged rigging in the Bihar assembly polls.

Fact Check

A reverse image search with some key frames from the viral video led us to a video uploaded by the Instagram account ilovebongaigaon on September 21, 2025. The caption reads, “He belongs to the people and here, lakhs of people are attending his funeral.” This clearly indicates that the video is not related to Bihar assembly polls.

Elections in Bihar were held in two phases on November 6 and 11. Results were announced on November 14.

We also found an X post by Nagaland tourism and higher education minister Temjen Imna Along, dated September 21, 2025. He shared a video, writing that thousands had gathered to bid a tearful farewell to Assam’s heartthrob, Zubin Garg. The viral part appears from the 25-second mark onwards in this video.
