A video of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP’s Ravi Kishan enjoying a musical performance is viral on social media. In the video, Adityanath is seen getting up and leaving as soon as the song playing in the background uses abusive language — calling those running the government “p*mps”.

An Instagram account named Neha Singh Rathore Parody shared the video and wrote, “Why did Baba run away after hearing such words?” At the time of writing this, the video had amassed over 50,000 likes. (Archived link)

Another Instagram user, Asjad Khan, also shared the video, remarking sarcastically that the singer should receive the Bharat Ratna. (Archived link)

Similarly, another user named Deepak Samrat also shared the video on Instagram. (Archived link)

A user named Ajit Yadav also shared the video, writing that Yogi Adityanath ran away on hearing the derogatory words against the BJP government.  (Archived link)

Fact Check

To verify whether such an incident actually took place, we performed a reverse image search using a few keyframes from the viral video. This led us to another video by News Hindustan Live dated August 17, 2025, of the same incident from a different angle. However, in this video, the song playing in the background was different. The singer was singing a devotional song, and the graphic above the video read: “CM Yogi starts smiling after seeing Ravi Kishan immersed in this song about Krishna!” The description states the video is from Gorakhpur.

We also found the video from yet another angle on Bharat24’s YouTube channel from August 17, 2025. In this video, too, the singer is heard singing devotional music and nothing offensive. The graphic above the video reads: “Ravi Kishan dances in devotion before CM Yogi.”

These videos made it amply clear that the viral clip has been tampered with; the original audio has been replaced with something else. No such incident took place wherein the UP CM walked out because the singer used abusive language and called those running the government “p*mps”. The video has been doctored by replacing the original audio with a different audio clip.

We also searched for the lyrics used in the viral video and found the song uploaded by a YouTube channel named Shakya Video on August 21, 2024. According to the video’s caption, the singer’s name is Manoj Blaster. In the video, he is heard saying, “Those who are running the government of this country are idiots. Do you understand them? They say one thing today, another tomorrow, they write something else, and they get something else done. Those who are running the government of this country are p*mps, and 90 out of a 100 of them are despicable…” The singer’s voice and tone match the one in the viral video perfectly.

To sum up, several users shared a doctored video of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP leader Ravi Kishan, falsely claiming that a singer, while singing in front of Yogi Adityanath and Ravi Kishan, used abusive language to address those running the government, following which Yogi Adityanath got up and left.
