A video of a plane flying under a bridge was shared by the handle ‘@Jane_Doyle_EJD’ and garnered over 24,000 views. (Archive link)

The video is quite widespread on Facebook where many people believed the incident to be true.

We noticed that the visuals were uploaded on YouTube as the Pina Bridge in Brazil. (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3, Link 4)

Fact-check

We performed a reverse image search of the video frames, which led us to an article on boatos.org, a fact-checking portal from Brazil. An October 29 Instagram post of the viral video by user ‘Vertice Treinamentos’ has been embedded in the report. According to the outlet, the clip is creative visualisation.

The user has mentioned in their Instagram bio that they are an engineer. They had also shared another video on October 29, which showed how the video was created.

‘verticetreinamentos’ has also shared several such behind-the-scene videos on Facebook too. One of these was for a project that depicted cars flying in the air.

To sum it up, a video made with special effects was mistakenly shared on social media as real.
