Video from Brazil

Alt News performed a reverse image using a still from the viral clip, which revealed that the original video was shot in Brazil. On August 2, 2021, several media outlets in Brazil had covered an incident where the local military police spotted a 17-year-old boy carrying out ‘suspicious activities’. When the police asked the teen to stop, he began running. After a bit of a chase, the officers managed to nab him. Bystanders recorded a video and the conduct of the policemen towards the young man began making headlines.

Several prominent media outlets in Brazil reported on this.

A video of a Brazilian teen being taken into custody was shared with the false claim that a terrorist was caught in Srinagar.
