In the past few years, if we talk about people who represent us in various institutions of democracy – from the Municipal Corporations to State Assemblies to the Parliament in Delhi, the list of the pending criminal cases that the representatives in these various institutions have is been getting longer by the year. One such young ‘leader’ is the new Deputy Mayor of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation.
BJP’s Deputy Mayor from Kalyan, Moreshwar Shreeram Bhoir, who is is also the BJYM President of Kalyan District, KDMC BJP Corporator (Ward 107,Pisavli) and Ex-Sarpanch (Pisavli) has as many as 34 cases framed against him in various crimes under different sections according to official data. There are 6 cases where charges have been framed and the matter is under investigation. These cases include some serious charges like murder (IPC 302), house trespass, criminal intimidation, rioting etc.
There was an internal protest within BJP when he was first given a ticket back in 2014 because of his criminal antecdents.

1 charges related to Assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person, otherwise than on grave provocation (IPC Section-355)
1 charges related to Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace (IPC Section-504)
1 charges related to Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant (IPC Section-188)
1 charges related to Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty (IPC Section-353)
1 charges related to Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object (IPC Section-149)
1 charges related to Joining unlawful assembly armed with deadly weapon (IPC Section-144)
1 charges related to Criminal intimidation (IPC Section-503)
