Digital artwork
The video does not show Hurricane Dorian but is a digitally-created artwork. US-based photographer Brent Shavnore had uploaded the clip on his Instagram account.
In an email conversation with AFP, he said that the video is an animated version of a composite image he created. The video was created by Instagram user TheGlitch. тАЬYes Instagram user TheGlitch was the person who animated the storm. I combined the two Shutterstock pictures together to create the artwork. That video on YouTube is my tutorial explaining how it’s done,тАЭ Shavnore wrote to AFP.
The two photographs he combined – 1 and 2 – to create the artwork were also revealed to AFP.
TheGlitch had uploaded the animation on its Instagram page, describing it as – “There is peace even in the storm.” – Vincent van Gogh. Photos taken by @shavnore Animation by TheGlitch @theglitch.og.”
A digitally created artwork and animation was shared on social media as Hurricane Dorian from the coasts of Florida.
