In yet another act of open bigotry, Bhupender alias Pinky Chaudhary, chief of Hindu Raksha Dal, has been seen refusing to serve food to Muslims at a community feast at Rajendra Nagar Sector-2 in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. In a two-minute video uploaded to Chaudhary’s Facebook page, he is seen snatching a plate away from someone.
It is unclear who he snatched the plate from or what prompted the exchange, but immediately afterward he says, “Mulla na awe mere paas” (“Muslims should not come to me”) and “Koi Musalmaan humara khana na khaye” (“No Muslim should eat our food”). He further declares that Hindus are welcome to eat or even take his life, but Muslims should not partake in the feast, drawing laughter from people around him. His son Harsh Chaudhary is seen alongside him in the video.
After facing backlash on social media, Bhupender Chaudhary released a video statement doubling down on his remarks, claiming that Muslims spit in and urinate on food served to Hindus. “I would have been glad if Muslims had opposed my actions, but I feel disappointed when criticism comes from my Hindu brothers. You must have seen videos of Muslims spitting and urinating in the food they serve Hindus… When you go to eat kheer at the homes of those who talk about brotherhood, they spit in the food before serving it to you… If they truly believed in brotherhood, then teenage girls would not be getting raped in Pakistan, and our brothers would be safe there… If you want the same situation in India, and do not want a single Hindu left here, then you can oppose me…,” he says in the statement.
He further claims that Muslims do not feed Hindus at their community feasts and argues that Hindus, therefore, should not do so either.
Pinky Chaudhary has around 25 cases registered against him across police stations in the Delhi NCR and Ghaziabad regions. These cases relate to allegations of communal speeches, violence, intimidation and obstruction of authorities. He is currently out on bail.
Lalit Sharma, the Dehradun chief of Hindu Raksha Dal, also released a video backing Bhupender Chaudhary’s stance. Using expletives, Sharma defended Chaudhary by arguing that since Muslims do not participate in Hindu religious ceremonies, they should not be allowed to eat at the feast either.
“If things went my way, we should stop oxygen and water too. We will install four or five refrigerators and say that cold water is only for Hindus. Our water and blood should only be touched by Hindus… we are for Sanatanists and Sanatanists are for us. We want Sanatani brothers to stay so far away from Muslims that they never have to go near them. Muslims and Islam are out to destroy our religion the way termites eat through wood… our water, our food, and every other facility… When I go to donate blood, I always ask who the blood will go to. If it is meant for a Muslim, I will not donate,” he says in the video.
The Hindu Raksha Dal has often been in the news for their violent and communal tactics. Recently, Sharma and his team openly called for violence against ‘Mohammed’ Deepak Kumar, who stood up against the Bajrang Dal’s intimidation of an elderly Muslim shop owner in Uttarakhand. Sharma had released a video threatening Deepak and directing HRD members and other Hindutva fringe groups to gather outside Deepak’s gym on Thursday, January 12, to “fix his brain.”
More recently, some female Hindu Raksha Dal members were arrested for spray painting communal slogans on a crash barrier along the Delhi–Dehradun National Highway in Uttar Pradesh. The graffiti read “मुसलमान के लिए रोड नहीं है” (“This road is not for Muslims”) in Hindi and “This Road Not Allow Muslim” in English.
On December 29, Pinky Chaudhary and other members of the outfit announced distribution of swords to Hindu families from their office in Ghaziabad citing atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. They announced that if Islamic fundamentalists harassed any Hindu family in India, HRD would teach them a lesson.
Just one day prior to the incident in Ghaziabad, swords had been distributed from HRD’s office in New Delhi on December 28. While the swords were being handed out, Chaudhary accused the central and Delhi governments, as well as the BJP administration in Uttar Pradesh, of failing to provide security to the Hindu community. He demanded that weapons be provided to all Hindus.
On January 6, 2026, Ghaziabad police arrested Pinky Chaudhary and his son Harsh in connection with this. Nine days later, on January 15, Chaudhary was granted bail.
