Several Twitter users have shared the video with the same Hindi caption.

The video is massively shared on Facebook, gathering thousands of likes and views.

Fact-check

We closely looked at the video and noticed that Gujarat Tourism logo is visible at 00:33 seconds. We also found that a Twitter user commented that this video is from the Gandhinagar capital railway station.

A Facebook page named ‘Ahmedabad – Himatnagar – Udaipur Broad Gauge Conversion’ also posted this same video on July 4, with the caption “Gandhinagar Railway Station”. We independently visited the Gandhinagar capital railway station to confirm the location. Below is the comparison of a still from a viral video and the image we took at the Gandhinagar railway station.

Thus, a video of the Gandhinagar railway station is falsely viral as ‘newly renovated’ Ayodhya railway station. It is noteworthy that Ayodhya Junction is one of the two railway stations in Faizabad district, UP. The government had sanctioned the development of Ayodhya Junction in 2017-18, to model it around the Ram Temple. According to a Ministry of Railways press release issued on September 28, 2020, the total cost of the work is Rs 104.77 crore. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2021-22. Recently, a video of Mani Mandir in Varanasi was widespread as the ‘newly renovated’ Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
