A photograph of a woman branding a lathi at policemen in riot gear has been linked to the farmers’ protest and shared on social media. A parody Twitter account that goes by the username @Rofl_Kamra shared the image on November 28. The caption made a reference to actor Kangana Ranaut who played the role of Rani Lakshmibai in a movie. It termed her ‘fake’ Jhansi Ki Rani and the woman in the photo as the real warrior queen.

Lawyer Deepika Singh Rajawat and Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress also circulated the picture with similar message taking a dig at Ranaut.

A Twitter user had shared the image in 2018 however without mentioning where it was shot. He used hashtags related to farmers’ protests.

While Alt News could not establish further details about the image, it clearly does not represent an incident that took place in the ongoing farmers’ protests.
