Alt News performed a keyword search and found the original clip was uploaded on YouTube on February 17, 2017. The description mentions that the video is from Seth Sagarmal College in Nawada, where 34 girls were expelled from the intermediate exam.

Furthermore, a keyword search on Facebook led us to a post dated February 16, 2017 which also says that the video is from Nawada’s Seth Sagarmal Aggarwal College.

According to a PTI report, “In Nawada district around 32 girl examinees were caught cheating in centre number 2311 at Seth Sagar Mal Aggarwal Women college in the first sitting of Physics examination, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) statement said.” It further states that “a total of 360 examinees, many of them girls, were expelled across the state for using unfair means in the Intermediate examination today (February 16, 2017).”

After the students were found cheating, BSEB chairman Anand Kishor cancelled the intermediate examination centre at Seth Sagarmal Agrawal Mahila College in Nawada district, reported The Times of India. St Joseph School was made the new examination centre.

Therefore, female examinees were removed from an examination centre in Nawada after being caught cheating in 2017. A video of this incident was falsely shared on social media as recent.
