On July 23, when the Cockroach Janta Party(CJP)-led protest in Delhi demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan was at its peak, a five-second video went viral, in which a man could be seen chanting “Nara-e-Takbir” and the crowd responded with “Allah Hu Akbar.” Sharing this clip, several BJP leaders and supporters claimed that Islamic slogans were being chanted at the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, suggesting that the movement had taken a communal turn.
BJP leader Tajinder Bagga shared the clip, claiming that “CJP terrorists” had raised Islamic slogans at Jantar Mantar. (Archive link)

Nupur J Sharma, editor of Right-wing propaganda website OpIndia, shared the video and said that slogans like “Nara-e-Takbir, Allahu Akbar” were raised at the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar. (Archive link)

Fact Check
We searched keywords related to this video and found a longer version of it. It was uploaded on July 22 by an Instagram user named ‘youTuber_sufiyan’. In this longer video, a man is seen saying, “Kaun kehta hai ki hum Musalman Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Shri Ram nahi bolte, hum bolte hain, hum ek hain, Jai Shri Ram, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Nara-e-Takbeer” (Who says that we Muslims do not say Bharat Mata ki Jai, Jai Shri Ram, we say, we are one, Jai Shri Ram, Bharat Mata ki Jai, Naara-e-Takbir), after which the crowd responds by chanting “Allah Hu Akbar.”
The portion shown in the viral clip is a small and clipped portion of the actual speech. The entire video clearly shows the man talking about unity, stating that Muslims also chant slogans like “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” and in the same breath, he also chanted “Nara-e-Takbir.”
SO, in other words, BJP leaders and supporters shared a clipped video with a misleading communal claim. The original video clearly shows the young man chanting “Jai Shri Ram” and “Allah Hu Akbar” together to convey a message of unity, and only then chanting “Nara-e-Takbir.”
