A video of Rahul Gandhi cutting a cake with Manmohan Singh has been shared on social media with the claim that Gandhi did not let the former PM cut his own birthday cake.

The video was also shared earlier in May.

It had been circulating on Facebook. Alt News received verification requests for the video on its WhatsApp helpline number (+91 76000 11160).

Clip was viral in 2019 on Dr Singh’s birthday

Dr Manmohan Singh’s birthday is on September 26 and the video was shared two years ago on the occasion. Rishi Bagree tweeted the video and wrote, “#ManmohanSingh is not even free to cut his own cake.” The video had been viewed over one lakh times and drew nearly 7,000 likes.

Shefali Vaidya also tweeted the video saying, “MMS doesn’t even have the authority to cut his own birthday cake before @RahulGandhi leads his hand! Imagine how he ‘ran’ the govt for 10 years!!

The clip was circulated on Facebook. From the page ‘Arnab Fan Club‘ it received 27,000 views.

Incidentally, the same video was tweeted by Bagree in 2018 as well.

This video was uploaded by the official page of Congress on December 27, 2018, on the occasion of the party’s foundation day.

The video was also reported by the media.

An old video of Rahul Gandhi and Manmohan Singh was shared on social media to claim that Gandhi did not allow the former PM to cut his birthday cake.
