A video of police officers arresting two people from a railway station is gathering a lot of traction on social media. It has been claimed police arrested terrorists in Gujarat’s Dahod city. Sharing the video, Facebook user Akash Kumar wrote, “See how the brave soldiers of the country caught terrorists in Dahod station #Jaihind…”. It had garnered over 59,000 views at the time of writing.

A closer look at the video confirms that it is from Dahod Railway Station.

Alt News performed a keyword search which led us to an article in the Gujarati newspaper Divya Bhaskar dated April 2. It states that on March 31, a mock drill was conducted in Dahod Railway Station. After the video went viral, rumours began spreading about terrorists being caught in areas around Dahod.

Therefore, a mock drill video at the railway station in Dahod city was shared as real. Social media users believed that terrorists were actually apprehended by the police. In the past, similar mock drill videos have been shared with misleading claims.
