No, this is not Punjab CM Charanjit Channi getting baptised

Several social media users have shared a clip of a Sikh man getting baptised, a Christian rite of admission and adoption. It has been claimed that the man is Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi.

Man in the video is not Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi

In the video, the priest can be heard saying, “I baptise Simranjit Singh as Samuel…” This itself debunks the false claim. We found that a Facebook user had shared the video mentioning Simranjit Singh.

The video below shows a live stream of Channi’s oath-taking ceremony on September 20.
