A video of a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel is viral with the claim that the visuals are from West Bengal in the run-up to the assembly elections. Several Right-wing influencers have shared the purported visuals, saying that such forces were deployed to protect the Hindus of the state.
Sharing then video, pro-BJP influencer Ocean Jain (@ocjain4) wrote, “… Now no more talks, straight-up heavy action has begun. In Bengal, no more Muslim rule, only Hindu rule will prevail.” The post garnered close to 71,000 views. (Archive)

X handle The Jat Association (@Jatassociation), too, shared the clip, claiming armed forces were being deployed in the state in large numbers to ensure the safety of Hindus. “The message is clear: if there’s an attempt to suppress Hindus or incite riots to kill them, a new chapter of action will be written”, wrote the user in their caption. Fact Check
Upon a reverse image search, we were led to a February 2025 post on X by northeast-based YouTuber Neha Gurung containing the same video. She wrote that the video showed Indian army personnel doing a flag march in Imphal, Manipur.

Given the exceptional quality of the video, we could independently geolocate it to Imphal city.

The green sign board highlighted in the above image shows the name of the locality: Sougaijam Leirak in Imphal.
This conclusively proves that the viral video is not from Bengal and not related to the upcoming assembly polls. Alt News geo-located the place shown in the video and found that the footage was from Imphal.
Notwithstanding that, it is a fact that a record number of CAPF personnel has been deployed in Bengal ahead of the elections. Bulletproof multipurpose night vehicles have been spotted at several locations across Kolkata.
