PM Modi was in Chennai on November 5th, 2017, to attend the 75 years celebration of the Tamil Newspaper ‘Daily Thanthi’. After this event, PM attended the wedding of daughter of IAS officer TV Somanathan who is posted in the PMO currently.

A video of PM Modi attending this marriage is now viral on social media. In this video, PM can be seen wishing the couple and then accepting a gift and posing for some photographs. Another guest is also seen alongside PM Modi in the same video, posing for photographs and wishing the couple. It is now being claimed that this other guest is the President of India Ram Nath Kovind and that he was mistreated.

In the grainy video above, the other guest who is seen along with PM Modi has been mistaken to be the President of India. The other guest is actually Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit. The TN Governor had welcomed PM Modi on his arrival at Chennai and later accompanied him to various events that PM Modi attended.
